This painting was a reaction to watching the news one morning and getting very angry with the Bush Administration. The flag is in the shape of an eagles head and is melting into a pool of blood over oil. The skulls represent our armed servicemen that are being sacrificed so that big business can make profit from oil and defense contracts. I put it in the background of a beautiful blue sky to represent the way that news of the war is packaged in pretty packaging that is palettable to the U.S public.
